Macro Close-up Photography – Nature’s Intimacy

Explore the intimate world of Close-up Macro Photography.  Accessing the miniature can require very little investment and the returns can be astonishing.  We’ll discuss various macro technologies—beginner through pro—and discuss the special challenges of composition, focus, and lighting.  Then, we’ll do some shooting in controlled and subject-rich settings to guarantee you’ll take home some keepers.

Format:
--Seminar includes extensive Digital Slideshow & Equipment Demonstration--optionally followed by a hands-on controlled workshop and/or guided Photo Outing

--Demonstrates “Good/Better/Best” Compositions & Beginner Pitfalls

--Demonstrates a wide variety of equipment & solutions for Beginners through Advanced Budgets and Skill Levels
--Includes an array of Lenses, Camera Supports, and Flash Systems optimal for Macro and Nature Photography

Who Should Attend?
--Everyone! Beginner though Advanced strategies presented.

Maximum Class Size:
--Eight individually enrolled Students if Guided Outing Follows (or ~12 max for Private Groups)
--Unlimited for a presentation-only seminar

What to Bring:
--Writing material for notes
--For guided photo outings, bring along your camera and its manual, your favorite lenses, tele-converters (2x, 1.4x, etc), extension tubes, close-up filters, external flash units, reflectors, tripod, sunscreen
--Consider knee pads or cushion to kneel on

--A few images representative of your work or of problems you're hoping to resolve.   This is totally optional, just to share and discuss privately following the presentation.  I'd love to see what you've been up to!  I'm not a big fan of the word "Critique" and promise only gentle and constructive feedback.
